Only swap with local users, from schools in the US or at your local school.

Don’t ever send money through Western Union or any wire transfer service

Keep personal information personal.

Never give out passwords, social security or credit card numbers.

We recommend cash transactions (usually the safest for local swapping), but you may also consider Pay Pal (www.paypal.com).

A buyer may ask if you will accept a cashier’s check, most of the time these are fake. --You will be held responsible for the money by your bank if you deposit a fraudulent check.

A seller may ask for money up front, in most cases swapping on our site will be less than $50; there is no real need for a deposit. Swap books (or goods) for cash hand to hand whenever possible.

Do not get involved in 3rd party transactions, only swap directly with other buyers and sellers.

Whenever possible swap hand to hand, pay cash or trade books directly with students.

If a buyer/seller seems strange or the transaction does not seem too normal, trust your gut and look to another user/listing and continue swapping!
